Part 02 - Dashboard

2.1 Read the dashboard

Navigation: Dashboard.

  1. Check the as at date.

  2. Review Total Cost, Accumulated Depreciation, Accumulated Impairments and Carrying Value.

  3. Review the comparisons with the prior year.

  4. Inspect the classification breakdowns of carrying value, cost, depreciation and impairments.

  5. Review Number of Assets in Use, additions, disposals, impairments/reversals, revaluations, depreciation, changes in estimates and corrections of errors.

  6. Review the Top 100 Assets, Fully Depreciated Assets on hand and Impaired Assets on hand indicators.

Result: You identify movements or exception groups that need investigation. A fully depreciated asset still on hand is a review item; it is not automatically an asset to delete or dispose of.

An empty dashboard prompts you to import assets. Check setup, the selected entity and imported data before concluding that information has been lost.

2.2 Download dashboard supporting information

  1. Locate a dashboard tile or analysis that has a download icon.

  2. Select the icon and wait for the download.

  3. Open the workbook and confirm its entity and reporting period.

  4. Use individual asset barcodes or references to investigate the underlying records in Assets or Events.

Not every tile has a download. Use Reports for the formal data-report options described in Part 9.

2.3 Review verification indicators

Where DynamicVerify is enabled, review Last Dynamic Verify Verification, assets whose condition has declined, and the verified/unverified asset counts. Follow the available verification link to the related verification application if you have access.

These indicators reflect synchronised verification information. A new physical verification may not appear immediately. See Part 11 for synchronisation and barcode mismatch checks.
